I was so excited to try this product. Even as an adult, I continue to get frequent and severe ear infections. I always liked when I went to the doctor and they scanned my head instead of using the part that goes into your ear. Always felt that, both, were more accurate then the oral thermometers. I first tried using the forehead mode. It's difficult to do this on yourself as you cannot see the display. It doesn't beep to let you know when it's done so i wasn't sure when to stop. When i did eventually, stop, it said that i had a fever of 100.3. I decided to use the ear mode, and again, it is extremely difficult to use on yourself as you cannot see the display and not sure when it is done registering. I pulled it out of my ear, after a considerable amount of time, and the reading was 74.6. I'm pretty sure that isn't accurate as I would probably be dead or have a severe case of hypothermia. I then tried the head scan, again, and got a reading at 86.9. I then decided to try the forehead mode out on my coworkers and it didn't work at all but seemed to shut off. I don't recommend this product if you're going to be using this on yourself and obviously, I didn't get an accurate reading with the help of two other bodies.

would recommend to anyone who is wanting to purchase online, this was my first online purchase and it was a positive one.
