  • Ann R Shelton - Excellent Fun for Halloween

This is a fun little treat for Halloween. The product is thin which makes it easy to apply neatly but requires more than one coat. First coat looks a bit like your nails are sickly and will not provide sufficient glow power. With 2-3 coats the color and glow intensify. We used this under black crackle polish by Mia Secret and nails still glowed.

  • A.M. - this wasn't the best offering. It seemed to drag in the beginning

I'm a huge fan of this series and everything that Mrs. Harris writes. However, while I adore Roe Teagarden, this wasn't the best offering. It seemed to drag in the beginning, the mystery was a bit predictable, and it felt the the questions/observations from Roe were very repetitive. At one point I was also taken completely out of the story by an inconsistency. On page 23, Roe tells how she called her best friend Amina to share the news of her pregnancy. In that instance, Amina is thrilled, begins to weep with joy, and says that she has lots of baby clothes she can share with Roe. But then, on page 133, Amina is in town and Roe "breaks the news" to Amina of her pregnancy for the first time...and Amina is both surprised and unhappy. This is not necessarily the author's fault, as she likely just forgot to remove the original line during revisions, but it's a wonder that the professional editors and proofreader that worked on this book didn't catch such a glaring inconsistency. Overall, it was an enjoyable read, but I enjoy Harris' other works better.

  • Carl - ... into an ASUS x99 Deluxe II and have run pretty much every modern OS on it

I put this into an ASUS x99 Deluxe II and have run pretty much every modern OS on it, with very good success. My primary usage is for building software (Android apps.) While many think a $1,000+ processor is a bit extreme (I was previously in that boat) I can assure you for the right use cases it makes a world of difference. To justify it, I built the same app on the latest 15" Retina MacbookPro, 2015 Razer Blade, a Skylake desktop, and plenty of lesser hardware. The best machine (Skylake desktop) was 2.5x slower than this processor. I normalized memory and disks to really isolate the processor and was just floored by this outcome. It might not sound like a lot but saving 30 minutes of literally sitting and waiting turns into billable work hours. In just a month thats 1-2 additional working days, paying off the entire investment.
