GET: DUXTOP 1800-Watt Portable Induction Cooktop Countertop Burner is BETTER by far! Duxtop Very accurate to temp or cook by 10 levels. Can use large pots on Duxtop. PLUS as of this writing is CHEAPER than this NuWave PIC.
Yes it's more expensive than most but I found the features to be worth it. It was plenty big enough to hold the Might Max 12v 55Ah deep cycle battery. Connecting the battery with the provided hardware was easy (just need a wrench and socket wrench--14mm). The USB port charged my iPhone 6 with lightning connector. I have yet to use the 12v accessory port. The LED indicator is VERY BRIGHT and helpful because the battery indicator on my Minnkota Rip Tide 55 does not work apparently. Note, you have to HOLD DOWN THE TEST button and get the reading. When you let go of the TEST button a single LED will blink (near the LOW label). This shows you that the USB port is functional, NOT that your battery is low. Also you have to get the best reading when the battery is connected to a motor and actual under LOAD—that's an inconvenience and not made clear in the instructions on the battery box. I made this mistake and finally read the Newport Vessels instructions (from their website, no instructions in the box). I'll update my review after a bit. I will say that we are happy to have this because it will come in handy when the power goes out to keep our phones charged. Very happy. I did not give it 5 stars because I prefer to have instructions in the box and how the LED battery power indicator works is not very intuitive.
Really nice, simple, fun story. My kids thoroughly enjoy it. Even after a few weeks and a few new stories, the kids still keep coming back to ask for this book again!
This is a thick book with extremely helpful information on all the major cities in Italy. We said "Thank you, Steve" more than once on our trip as he saved us money and time, and gave meaning to the many sites we were seeing. We booked most of our motel nights through recommendations given in the book and ate at some of the places he suggested - all were accurately described. He made us look like seasoned travelers with tips as detailed as whether to turn left or right after exiting the train to quickly find a taxi. We actually tore the book into sections, according to the town we were in, and held the sections together with two small binder clips so we could easily carry only the needed information with us each day. I am ashamed to say we ditched each section as we finished the town because we were carrying our (Rick Steves) luggage on our backs and wanted to carry as little as possible; but we will order this book again if we are lucky enough to return to Italy. Worth every dime (or euro). :-)
